Have you ever experienced a random act of kindness, either giving or receiving it? Maybe you complimented a stranger on her shoes and made her smile. Maybe the person slided you into the subway with her subway card when you found yours ran out of money. Do you remember how magical that feeling of gratitude is, and how big an uplift it is in your spirit when you give, big or small?

We all want to feel loved and appreciated - why don't we be the change we want to see - give first, and appreciate what we get. Notice how good it makes you feel to do good things for others. And you’ll also notice how much impact you can have on brightening someone else’s day too! What goes around comes around, which is also called karma :)
Here are some easy ideas for you to implement today – try one or do them all! Some fun ways to do a good deed: hold the door open for someone; send a text to a friend or family member telling them why they are important in your life; compliment a stranger; give a dollar to a street artist; smile at the next person you see; bring your own lunch and donate the money that you saved to a charity; offer to watch a friend’s kids so that she can go out on a date night, pop a coin in an expired parking meter; pay for a stranger’s coffee…
The possibilities are endless on how to share kindness with the world. So try it today, and try something different the next day! Make it your intention to do a good deed, and notice how easily you can change your state of mind and also brighten up the person’s day that you do the good deed for.
